OK, I was going to have link to a visually stunning documentary about String Theory (a theory of everything in physics). But I thought that might be a bit of a shock to the system, without easing you in first.
Think of this link as the lubricant for your mind.
Although this “Imagining” of the Tenth Dimension is not quite what is meant by higher dimensions when physicists talk about them (so I’ve heard), it is an interesting exercise in thought. Plus I really think that everyone would benefit from really understanding what the first four dimensions are, and how they inter-relate.
Check it out, it’s not too long, less than 10 minutes for sure, and prepare to have your mind blown (or any other verb for that matter).

I got lost at around 5 dimensions. The first four dimensions have a necessity that the other six don’t have (confession: I only watched through 7 dimensions).
I’ll be frank, if someone asked me to explain the last 3 dimension I couldn’t do it. But I liked the idea that we could rethink of the entirety of our timeline as one point. Maybe it’s not as vast as we think, conceptually at least.
