Meritocracy (vs Democracy): Letting the talented rule you (Podcast #017)

I was talking to a doctor once, and I argued that medicine in America, and increasingly in Canada, was a plutocracy (where money is what results in promotions or even being hired). He argued however that medicine was a meritocracy. A view that I would love to believe, but don’t always.

You can only formulate your own opinion about something like this, but first let’s learn a little more about what a meritocracy is in only 90 seconds.
